Addressing continuous variables beyond Gaussian regime is essential for many important quantum tasks like universal quantum computation. While a compact approach to Gaussian states, operations and measurements is readily available, it is not straightforward how one can deal with non-Gaussian continuous variables. In this talk, we introduce a functional-form approach to this issue and show how nonclassicality and entanglement can be verified using a variant of uncertainty relations in a functional form.
