Maximal average over submanifold is a fundamental subject which has been extensively studied since 1970s. In this talk, we will consider Lp boundedness of maximal average. Classical example is Hardy-Littlewood maximal function and its Lp boundedness. I will give some tools related to regularity estimates on averaging operators and how to apply those tools for proving maximal estimates.
